Anti-wrinkle injections relax the muscles that fold the skin, so the lines they create soften and stop deepening. My aim is always a rested face that still moves. If you can still frown, but the line no longer stays there afterwards, the treatment has done its job.
Who it suits
People starting to see lines that remain when their face is at rest, and people who want to slow those lines forming in the first place. It also treats jaw clenching, a gummy smile, a downturned mouth and excessive underarm sweating.
What to expect
A consultation and a prescriber assessment come first, because these are prescription only medicines and suitability has to be confirmed before anything is booked. The injections themselves take about ten minutes and feel like a series of small scratches. There is no numbing needed.
Aftercare and downtime
You can go straight back to your day. Stay upright for four hours, skip exercise, alcohol and facials for twenty four hours, and do not rub the area. Movement starts to soften at around day three to five, with the full effect at two weeks. I offer a review at that point.

Questions I get asked
How long does it last?
Around three to four months at first. With regular treatment the muscle weakens and most people find they need it less often.
Will I look frozen?
Not with me. I dose conservatively and would rather review you at two weeks and add a little than take movement away that you wanted to keep.
Why do you not use the brand name?
UK advertising rules do not allow prescription only medicines to be advertised to the public. I can discuss the product with you in person, but I cannot name it on a website.
